About Frontline Wildfire Defense

At Frontline Wildfire Defense, our mission is to protect homes, families, and communities from wildfire disasters. Our innovative wildfire defense system allows homeowners to track wildfires, receive critical alerts, and actively safeguard their properties using a remotely operated fire protection system. With multiple layers of redundancy, our system hydrates homes and surrounding areas to prevent ignition from flying embers—the #1 cause of structure loss during wildfires.
We are a fast-growing team that has already achieved significant milestones in protecting homes across Northern and Southern California. Our team includes experienced engineers, product designers, and industry experts, and we are looking for a Systems Designer to help drive our design and planning efforts.

About This Opportunity

As a Systems Designer, you will be responsible for creating initial zone counts and design proposals for exterior wildfire sprinkler systems. Your work will play a key role in the sales process by providing accurate, visually appealing design proposals that effectively communicate system layouts to clients. You will collaborate closely with the sales team, utilize design software, and interpret site plans to ensure successful system designs.

Key Responsibilities

System Design & Drafting
  • Create initial zone counts and design proposals for exterior wildfire sprinkler systems using REVU BlueBeam, a PDF editor drafting program.
  • Interpret 2-dimensional site plans to develop accurate and effective design proposals.
  • Utilize Google Earth Pro, Apple Maps, and site photographs to identify required zone counts for each proposal.
  • Ensure all designs meet project specifications and comply with applicable standards.
Collaboration & Communication
  • Work closely with the sales team to understand project requirements and client needs.
  • Provide design support throughout the sales process, ensuring timely responses to requests.
  • Maintain organized records of zone counts, designs, and proposals for future reference.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine design processes and improve efficiencies.
Technical Expertise & Innovation
  • Demonstrate proficiency in spatial reasoning and hydraulics to create effective system designs.
  • Utilize an Apple device such as iPad, laptop, or iPhone for access to Apple Maps, a vital asset for the role.
  • Possess a strong understanding of construction design, mathematics, and drafting principles.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices in wildfire protection and exterior fire sprinkler systems.

Experience & Qualifications

Must-Have:
  • Proficiency in REVU BlueBeam, a PDF editor drafting program.
  • Experience working with 2-dimensional site plans and drafting software.
  • Familiarity with Google Earth Pro and Apple Maps for site analysis.
  • Strong drafting and spatial reasoning skills.
